Victor Harbor Road, between Main South Road and just before the McLaren Vale turn-off, will be duplicated.

Planning Study

A planning study was undertaken in February 2022, to investigate the preferred solution for Victor Harbor Road between Main Road, McLaren Vale and Tatachilla Road and to Willunga Hill. This study is now on hold and no longer forms part of the Alliance's work.

223 responses were received. Key issues and comments focused on:

• safety of access onto Victor Harbor Road from side roads and private properties;
• east-west connections and ensuring connectivity for landowners and residents;
• freight access, particularly in relation to the wine industry; and
• protection of cultural heritage and native vegetation.

This feedback will be considered and used to help inform concept plans and treatment options.
